Hello! My name is Joy, and I’m truly excited about the opportunity to meet and care for your family. With over 25 years of experience caring children and supporting families, nurturing young minds has always been at the heart of what I do.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working as a nanny, a labor and postpartum doula, a health advocate for foster youth, a preschool teacher, and currently as a Transitional Kindergarten teacher with the Poway Unified School District. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Human and Child Development and a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
In addition to my professional experience, I’m also a proud parent of three wonderful children, ages 13, 15, and 18. This personal experience further deepens my understanding of children’s needs and family dynamics. My family and I love the beach, animals and spending time together.
I am calm, caring, and highly engaging with the children in my care. My goal is always to help parents feel confident and at ease when entrusting me with their children. I’m comfortable following your family’s routines, and I enjoy creating fun, meaningful experiences through games, crafts, books, and outdoor activities.
