Amy became owner of Marion’s Childcare (now Sitterwise) in 2005. She is Marion’s daughter-in-law, mom to two school-age kids, and an accomplished San Diego beach photographer. Amy splits her time between church ministry, Sitterwise, and photography, and we’re pretty sure she never sleeps.
Sarah first came on board in 2005 to oversee the nanny placement division of Marion’s Childcare. 20 years, 3 kids, and many adventures later, Sarah is now Executive Director of Sitterwise. She is our “Jane of all trades” and oversees all of the day-to-day operations. Sarah loves California burritos, music and reading.
Kristie joined the Sitterwise Team in 2021 as our Client Care Specialist. Her organizational skills and natural wisdom keep the Sitterwise family on point. Kristie vets all of our caregivers and ensures every sitter on our staff meets (or exceeds!) our high standards. Kristie is mom to one sweet boy and loves Starbucks (don’t we all?).
As a single mom of four children, Marion started out just trying to make ends meet — not start a business — but her professionalism and kid-friendly style earned her a place in the hearts of concierges around the city. Soon, she had more sitting requests than she could personally take, and she asked her close friends to join her. Before long, Marion’s Childcare was San Diego’s most trusted name in hotel babysitting, used exclusively by the area’s finest resorts.
