Hi! My name is Emily, and I have been involved with child care since I started babysitting at 13. My spirit for childcare began around that age, when I would take care of my neighbor’s kids. Even when their parents were home, I still wanted to spend time with them. We would play games, or I’d help them learn what they were taught in school that day. During high school, I would volunteer at my church to watch over youth groups. I was also a kindergarten teacher’s aid once a week. This included tutoring the students in her class, or helping with arts and crafts. I have since graduated high school, so I am now moving on to the next step in my life. With that brings college, and an opportunity to explore different kinds of jobs. So I thought, what better than to be a nanny?
