Hello! My name is Melanie and I’m looking forward to meeting and serving your family! I am a mom of 3, an active youth group leader for Junior and Senior High School students, and a summer camp counselor. My passion is working with children/students and families, specifically in education, and I will be starting my Masters in educational and clinical counseling in fall of 2015. I do have experience with special needs and adopted children, including raising our own adopted daughter (she is now 14 and thriving). I have homeschooled for many years, taught in private Christian school, and have worked in children’s and youth ministry for over 10 years. I love kids and their families, and have developed a strong understanding of children’s needs, how to listen well to kids, good boundary setting, and great ways to have fun that are screen free.
