Hotel del Coronado: Where Kids Shine and Memories Last Forever

I’ve photographed hundreds of families along the Southern California coast, and nothing — not the cliffs of La Jolla, not the boardwalks of Mission Beach — comes close to the magic that happens when kids arrive at Hotel del Coronado. Every time I prep my camera on that stretch of sand and watch a child sprint toward the waves for the first time, or look up wide-eyed at the Victorian red-roofed towers, I see the same thing: something in them wakes right up. This place awakens a sense of adventure and gets family memories started fast.
