Hi I’m Charissa and I can’t wait to meet you and your family! I have a naturally bubbly and fun-loving personality, so we’re sure to have a good time! I’ve been a swim and lifeguard instructor for seven years, and I specialized in music and music education in college, so I also understand how to interact with children in a highly informed, in-depth way. From teaching arts and crafts at Gymboree to after-school piano classes to swimming lessons, I make challenges (like difficulty separating from parents or timidity around water-related play time) fun and intellectually-stimulating situations for children. Moreover, as an experienced young adult and graduate student, I offer professionalism and peace-of-mind to parents. I have worked in many different capacities with children of a diverse range of ages for over ten years, and yet I see each child as a unique individual with his and her own sets of interests, gifts, and needs.
