LEGOLAND’s New Halloween Street Has Six Monster Houses
Brick-or-Treat Street turns part of the park into a trick-or-treat block, running on select nights from September 19 through November 1.

LEGOLAND California has added something new to its fall lineup this year, and it’s the kind of thing that photographs well on a phone but plays even better in person. Brick-or-Treat Street is an interactive trick-or-treat experience built around six life-sized LEGO Monster homes, each inspired by a fan-favorite LEGO Minifigure. You walk the street, knock, find out who lives behind each door, and collect treats along the way.
It’s a straightforward idea — trick-or-treating, but made out of bricks and staged inside a theme park — and that simplicity is probably the point. Little kids don’t need much of a plot to get excited about knocking on a giant LEGO door. Older siblings get the novelty of seeing familiar Minifigures scaled up into actual houses.

What’s Actually New This Year
The six Monster homes are the centerpiece. LEGOLAND describes it as discovering "who lives behind each door" — part of the fun seems to be that you don’t know what you’re getting until you’re standing in front of it. Along the way there are, in the park’s words, "tricks, bricks and treats," which is about as LEGO a sentence as you’re going to find.
This isn’t a haunted house situation. Everything about the description — Minifigure-inspired, family trick-or-treating, a street you walk through — points toward something built for younger kids rather than teenagers chasing a scare. If your crew includes a four-year-old who still isn’t sure about the vacuum cleaner, this is probably the safer end of the Halloween-attraction spectrum.
The New Light Trail
Alongside the Monster homes, LEGOLAND is introducing a new interactive Halloween light trail — described as filled with colorful surprises and visual treats. Combined with Brick-or-Treat Street, it reads as an evening event, so plan on being in the park after dark rather than trying to squeeze it into an afternoon.
Planning Around the Dates
Brick-or-Treat returns on select dates from September 19 through November 1. That’s a wide window, but "select dates" means it’s not running every single day in between, so this is worth checking before you build a whole evening around it. LEGOLAND’s own page (linked from their announcement) is the place to confirm which nights apply and whether it requires anything beyond regular park admission.
If you’re staying nearby with young kids, the practical question is usually less about the attraction and more about the schedule around it — nap times, dinner, and how long a toddler can realistically last on a theme-park evening before things go sideways.
If you’re visiting for a few days and staying at a hotel or vacation rental near the park, it’s worth lining up vacation childcare for at least one evening — whether that’s a caregiver watching a younger sibling who’s had enough while the older kids do Brick-or-Treat Street, or someone at the rental so you and your partner can actually walk the light trail together after bedtime. Sitterwise can send a vetted caregiver to wherever you’re staying, no advance planning marathon required.
None of this requires a strategy. Show up, walk the street, knock on some doors, see the lights. It’s a new addition to a park that already knows how to keep small kids entertained, and it gives families a reason to visit LEGOLAND on a fall evening instead of just during the usual daytime rush.
