At long last, Urban Jungle Fun Park is open! This is the “big-kid” version of the Playtown, Funbelievable, My Kids Clubhouse genre of indoor hangouts. Filled with all the stuff 5-2 year olds love best, Urban Jungle is a fantastic answer for families whose kids have outgrown the dress-up clothes and ball pits and need a friendlier, happier, brighter, less noisy environment than some of the other bounce-oriented venues offer.
My friends and I took our three five-year-old boys here today during Urban Jungle’s inaugural week, and we all loved it. “AWESOME” was my little guy’s word for it, and all the activities kept him happy and occupied for the full 90-minute time period. “Do you think Sissy (age 10) would like it too?” “OH YEAH!!”
In fact, Urban Jungle’s activities are built for all ages. Even teens and adults are welcome to bounce on the 2000 square foot trampoline court, scale the 24′ rock wall, and slide down the 16′ mega slide. While my friends and I were happy to find a quiet corner in one of three birthday party rooms in the back and catch up on our girl-talk while the boys played, next time we may just pay to participate ourselves!
Upon entry, a row of handy iPads are available for new families to use to sign the waivers needed for entry (also available online for you plan-ahead people). Friendly staff waited at the registers, where we got $2 off for proving to have “liked” Urban Jungle on Facebook. Prices are $12.00 for 90 minutes of playtime (enough for us) and $4.00 for each additional 30-minute segment. Parents and kids under 40 inches get a discounted rate of $8. There is also a military discount available. Birthday parties with pizza provided start around $225 for 10 children, with $15 per child add-ons. The birthday boy or girl’s photo can be displayed on the huge screen at the entryway, along with any theme tie-in photos.
